constant freezing

Please, sombody help me. My problem is as follows;

Everytime I try to select a game, it automatically opens the sim, and then I receive the message, "connecting to multiplayer session via lobby", and the message doesn't go away. I turned off my firewall to no avail. I saw a previous post asking me to open specific posts, but I tried and encountered the following difficulty. It asked for a port name, and I was unable to specify one. Please help me.

I have not attempted to play the community stuff yet. But almost sounds like you are not trusted to play with the other players. Trust as in recognized as a player. As if your getting to the server but not being allowed to logon or something like that.

edr, I highly doubt that this is my problem. You see, Sometimes, I'm able to join a session, and other times, the simulator freezes on it's own, and stops responding. I end up having to force my way out of the program.
