|
|
Hello fellow flight simmers,
Thank you for taking the time to read my post today. My favorite WWII war plane is the P51D mustang. However, after I downloaded it and sent all the files to the proper folders I still do not have any guages in the cockpit view and no panel whatsoever in the virtual cockpit mode.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best Regards,

tom -
Yes the guages are in a winRAR format. I also downloaded it from this site. Everything else on the plane looks great. I'd like to fly it a little better obviously with the guages. Is there another file that I need to have? I ask this because I downloaded the Viper and it said I needed Eric Marciano's freeware F-16 panel to run view the guages and hud for the viper. Which I still cannot find anywhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will this work in FS2004? From what I can understand or see it looks like it is for CFS2. Does that make a difference. I just tried it and it didn't work. Hmf. I'll keep trying. Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is that most aircraft made for CFS's won't work 100% in FS9. The most common problem, landing gear missing. I've loaded some where all I saw was the fuselage and nothing else, weird but it flew (when I could see it).
The best chance you have is if it's been made with GMAX, it'll say that in the read-me if it is.
Good luck and I'll keep my eye out for one.

P51D
OK, I just downloaded the aircraft bellow. To get the gauges press "W" on your keyboard, you may have to cycle by pressing "S".
After unzipping put the entire zip gauge file (dump folder) into your gauge file.
If you no longer have it download it again and try it.
Great aircraft 9 different paintjobs, 86mb installed WOW.

Chapter 2:
I downloaded and installed the garmin gauge for the P15D. I also unzipped the one that came with the aircraft and put all three into my gauge folder, nada, zip, zilch, zero, zed, nothing.
The gauges on the panel don't show up...why...my guess is that they are meant for the CFS not for FS9 so the only way is to use the ones (default) that show up using the "W" key as I explained above.
Please somone prove me wrong.

| I have the same probelm Radrman. Like you my favourite single prop planes are the Mustang and the Spitfire. Both have the problem of no gauges. I've tried a number of things but to no avail. |

The sixth one down is a terrific Spitfire, I just loaded it yesterday and flew it.
