Well, that clears that up. You can't take anything for granted these days. Look at Welshflyer's topic opener, the very first link to the Manic Street Preachers... the dude on the drums had me fooled all right _________________ "It is universally accepted that an admission of atheism would be instant political suicide for any presidential candidate."

"Thick as a Brick" does...
Seriously, when you get to a certain degree of 'greatness' (for lack of another word) - you can't say: 'This is greater than that' or: 'This one's the best'. Those great numbers are all 'the best'...
...maybe I should just avoid using a superlative here _________________ "It is universally accepted that an admission of atheism would be instant political suicide for any presidential candidate."

superlatively...Nothin beats Kashmir
Except perhaps Xavia Rudd's 'let me be', where he sings, playes the stomp box, harmonica, guitar and didgeridoo all in the one song.Amazing one man band, pity he's not better known overseas.

Warlord that dude reminds me of this band I was in called Jerrod's Door (I think they are still around, check myspace).
They used to call themselves psychedelic tribal jazz... and the lead member Jeffrey was like that... played didge and all the other instruments...
Really cool setup! _________________

i didn't want to give this it's own thread, so this topic is the one that makes the closest fit. i know it's bizzare, but i am compelled to watch this video repeatedly.

Some might be familiar with the opening bars of this song but... yes there is an original version and it's very old. Open your ears and let the sunshine in:

Tailhook that is a classic. Thank you, I have not heard that one since the 70s. It is still just as powerful today. _________________

Now if we're talking about classics then this is one that for some reason, always makes me smile and reminds me of a girl i was courting when i was younger, i don't know why, because she was called Carol and never gave me the run around.
By the way this is not in synch (as if you could'nt guess )

Nonononono... I thought I'd managed to put this firmly behind me and now you bring it up again.
This dude approached me and suggested the two of us would make a great outfit. ...why not?
Trouble was, the only song he wanted to play was RUNAROUND SUE!! Him being the accomplished lead guitarist (can anyone hear a guitar solo in this song?) I was relegated to play rhythm... and yes, because I had the 'easy' part I had to do the singing as well... (NO I WILL NOT UPLOAD IT TO YOUTUBE!!)
I'd never even heard the song before so I had to learn the lyrics while MR. Lead guitarist did the ...hep...hep thing. Needless to say our collaboration didn't last long...
WHY did you have to remind me of that Welshflyer
BTW there is another song on my CD I like: The Wanderer _________________ "It is universally accepted that an admission of atheism would be instant political suicide for any presidential candidate."
