Payware Flight Sim Products

The CLS Piper Arrow for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004 has now been released as freeware and is available on the SimShack.net flight sim store.  There is no charge to purchase, download or install this previously payware aircraft add-on for Microsoft's Flight Simulator package.  Before it was released as freeware, CLS sold this product as payware - but because it has become somewhat dates and the quality isn't as good as their latest payware products, they have released it to the public for free.

The TSS Cessna 172 Sound Pack is very cool add-on. This particular one is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 compatible. It is a fairly small download with a filesize of 20MB. Individuals will find that they will be able to access this add-on, immediately after purchasing it.  The soundpack for the Cessna 172 has been created by Turbine Sound Studios.

The Mega Airport Munich Scenery Add-on is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004. This is another affordable simulator add-on designed by Aerosoft, a respected name in the flight simulator industry. It can be purchased in CD-ROM media format.

The TSS (Turbine Sound Studios) A-10 TF-34 Sound Pack is another affordable simulation add-on. This one can be used with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and is also available for immediate download. Turbine Sound Studios have compiled this sound pack and have managed to come up with 50 B of sound perfect for the simulator aficionado.

The RAF Abingdon Scenery package can be downloaded immediately. Compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, this particular add-on has a relatively small filesize, only 13 MB. Individuals that purchase the RAF Abingdon Scenery for FSX will find that it includes, amongst other things, a RAF airfield.

The Mega Airport Boston Logan Scenery add-on by Aerosoft is Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004 compatible. Available in a CD-ROM media format, this package is a good option for those interested in testing their flying skills in and around one of the United State’s busiest airports.

First Class Simulations designed the Sunderland Flying Boat add-on. It is available via CD-ROM and is compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator X and FS2004. This particular simulator add-on is priced pretty moderately and is a good choice for those interested in giving a flying boat a try. For those already familiar and experienced with these types of aircrafts, the Sunderland Flying Boat is still a great deal of fun and gives these individuals an opportunity to test and improve upon their skill set.

The Mega Airport Paris Orly Scenery was designed by Aerosoft.  It comes in CD-ROM media format and is compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004. At one time, Orly was the only airport in the beautiful city of Paris. This was obviously before the Charles de Gaulle Airport was built. Even though most of the city’s international traffic travels through the de Gaulle, Orly is still plenty busy and handles most of the area’s domestic flights. In terms of passengers, Orly is France’s second busiest airport.

The RAF Finningley Scenery Package For FSX is another very good product priced affordably. This Microsoft Flight Simulator X compatible package can be downloaded immediately after purchase. Small in terms of file size, its only 6 MB.

Turbine Sound Studios compiled the Cessna 172 Sound Pack for FSX. A fairly small file, it is roughly 18 MB. This sound pack is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Turbine has worked hard to compile incredible soundmoments courtesy of the Lycoming O-360 engine. This soundpack is perfect for flying Cessna 172 models also compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

Aerosoft designed the Mega Airport Amsterdam Schiphol Scenery simulation add-on. This particular sim works with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004 and is available via CD-ROM.  The Amsterdam Schiphol is the largest airport in the Netherlands and one of the biggest in all of Europe. An international airport, it is home base for KLM, a national carrier, and works in conjunction with Skyteam. Transavia, Martinair and Arkefly are based there as well.

The MD-81/82 Jetliner is a DVD-ROM add-on, compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X.  This particular plane is an offshoot of the DC-9 airliner and designed for short to mid-length flights. It has rear-mounted jet engines, a T-Tail and thin fuselage. Chances are, if you have ever been to the airport, you have seen this plane. They can be found in all parts of the world.

The FSFlyingSchool 2010 is a stimulator add-on that is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X and the FS Flying School 2004. This add-on measures roughly 35MB and is available for immediate download. This gives individuals the ability to begin using the simulator as soon as they make their purchase.

The Focke Wulf Fw 190 A, add-on is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X SP2. It was designed by Classics Hangar and is moderately priced. This particular simulator add-on is not available for instant download. It can, however, be purchased in CD ROM media format.

Flight 1 designed the Dodosim 2006 Helicopter. It is compatible with Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X SP2 software. This add-on comes in a CD-ROM media format.  This particular add-on holds the distinction of being the first legitimate and fully realized helicopter simulation for the Flight Simulator X SP2. It has become of the most well known add-ons of its type since then.

The Discover The USA is a simulator add-on compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004. It comes via a CD Rom and offers pilots a chance to travel the United States via a Beechcraft 18. Pilots will be able to visit the every region of the country, the North, South, West and East. Virtual flights can be taken to many of American’s most notable and beautiful landmarks and cities, for instance, Los Angeles, New York City, Washington D.C., the Grand Canyon and the Rockies. Pilots will be able to log hour after hour of flights.

The Discover Great Britain simulator add-on is a great choice for those looking for really cool locales to fly to. It makes it possible for individuals to take trips to places they might not normally. Great Britain is considered by many people to be one of the most gorgeous destinations in the world to visit.

The Flight Deck 6 was designed by Abacus. Compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X & 2004, it is available as a DVD-ROM. Individuals who purchase the Flight Deck 6 will be getting one of the premiere games designed specifically for the Microsoft Flight Simulator (FSX & FS2004).

Battle of Britain: 70th Anniversary is Microsoft Flight Simulator X compatible. It is available in DVD-ROM media format and was designed by Just Flight. This simulator add-on was created in recognition and celebration of the Battle of Britain’s 70th Anniversary. This pack includes three planes that were central in the battle, the Hurricane, Spitfire and Me 109.

The Cessna C208B Super CargoMaster Expansion HD is another Microsoft Flight Simulator X compatible add-on. It can also be used with the C208B Grand Caravan. Carenado designed this particular simulator add-on. Its files size is moderate, at 53 MB.

The BN-2 Islander is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Available in CD ROM format; Flight 1 designed this popular add-on.  The BN 2 Islander initially saw airtime in the 1960s. Its versatility and twin engines made it ideal for rugged flights and daily use.

The A320 Jetliner is available in DVD-ROM media format. It was designed by Just Flight and is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator. The A320 is considered to be the European counterpart of America’s 737.  It has used mostly for short to mid-length flights.  First manufactured in 1988, today, there are nearly 5000 A320 Jetliners in service, worldwide.

The Approaching Innsbruck Airport Scenery is Microsoft Flight Simulator X and FS2004 compatible. It comes in a CD-ROM media format. Versions for both are included in this package.  World Landscapes Global Scenery, by Abacus, is the updated version of the World Landscapes add-on, which was wildly popular.

Developed by CR1 Software, this Microsoft Flight Simulator X-compatible simulator add-on is a whopping 420 MB.  This incredible package is one of the best on the market. CR-1 developed this add-on specifically for the FSX. It includes terrific textures and is quite detailed, realistic and accurate.

The Balearic Islands X Scenery is compatible with both the Microsoft Flight Simulator X and the FS 2004. This particular add-on is not available for immediate download. It has been formatted in a DVD ROM. This scenery pack for the Balearic Islands was designed by Sim-Wings. It is a great pick for those individuals interested in flying to the Mediterranean. Included are all of the islands in this area, which are brought to life via ground textures that are photorealistic. The island’s airports are also included.

Flight Sim Labs designed the Concorde X. It is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X SP2 software. This particular simulator add-on was one of the most talked about and coveted prior to its release. Many are in agreement that the Concorde X sim is one of the best designed, detailed and impressive of any add-on of this type and for this plane. It offers a tremendous amount of detail, wonderful textures and a seemingly mile-long list of features.

Individuals interested in the 767 Captain will find that it is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X SP2.  This simulator add-on allows individuals to simulate flight of the Boeing 767. Designed by Captain Sim, the 767 Captain add-on is only available via CD-Rom.

Individuals that enjoy powerboat simulators will get a kick out of this simulator. Designed by Deltasim Studio, the Powerboat for FSX simulator add-on is a beast. It, like most if not all simulator add-ons at SimShack.net, is available for immediate download. The Powerboat is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X and is priced at £19.90. The simulator add-on is bigger then many others. It will take up 133 MB worth of file space.

The Mooney 201 M20J is a simulator designed solely for the X-Plane. It is only compatible with the X-Plane 9.5 and higher. This particular simulator was developed by Carenado and is quite impressive.  The Mooney 201 M20J is the developers’ first crack at a simulator for the X-Plane and it must be said, they did an outstanding job. This simulator add-on doesn’t look like a rookie project. Instead, Carenado’s design and “construction” of the simulator looks like that of a X-Plane veteran designer.

Battleship simmers, feast your eyes on this beauty! The HMS King George V Battleship was developed by Deltasim Studio. This simulator add-on is Microsoft Flight Simulator X compatible and is priced at just over 20 pounds. It has a file-size of 47 MB and can be downloaded immediately after purchasing it.

The Flight Simulator Platform Solutions (FSPS) FSX Performance Booster is available for immediate download. It is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Priced moderately at £20.55, it has a filesize of 11 MB. Individuals interested in improving the performance of their Microsoft Flight Simulator may want to give this product a try.

The CLS MD-81/82 Jetliner-FSX Microsoft Flight Simulator is available for immediate download. This particular jetliner is a model of the McDonnell Douglas MD-81/82 and simulator add-on especially excellent. It comes with top-flight 3D models, great textures and realistic animations. This simulator does demand web activation and is solely compatible with FSX.

The CLS Boeing 767-200/300 is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004. This simulator add-on can be downloaded immediately after purchasing it and is a whopping 630 MB. Anyone that has every dreamed about flying a 767, now has their chance to do so, at least virtually.

The CLS Boeing 747-200/300 simulator add-on is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X & 2004. It was designed by CLS and can be purchased for £29.50. Individuals interested in purchasing it will be able to download it instantly. Please note, however, it is a rather large file, at 434 MB.

The Cessna C208B Grand Caravan HD-FSX simulator is priced affordably at only £21.99. Available for immediate download, it is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X.  Simmers will love the Cessna C208B Grand Caravan simulator. The 3D animations on it are well done with beautiful textures. Those wanting to simulate flying the Cessna Caravan will find that they are quite satisfied after giving this add-on a try.

After closer inspection, individuals who enjoy battleship simulators may want to make the Admiral Graf Spee Battleship their next purchase.  Priced at £21.90, this simulator add-on can be downloaded immediately after buying it. It has a file size of 90 MB and is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
