Douglas C-47 Skytrain in WWII vintage livery. Textures only for the default DC-3. Repaint by George Heib.
Known as the "Skytrain", the C-47 was the workhorse of the Army Air Corps transport units. Carried 82D troopers into battle at Sicily, Salerno, Normandy, and Holland.
The DC-3 was transformed by the military and renamed the C-47 during WWII. Unfortunatley with this skin, we are unable to recreate the true look of the aircraft and restore the vintage look. Items missing are the tail number on the tail, the stick number as well as formation set i.e. 6E. I have no idea what the G identifier meant. Enjoy this repaint.
Texture Creater George Heib.
Move the texture.82d folder to your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Douglas_DC3 directory. Add the text below to your aircraft.cfg file. If you are unsure how to open this file right click it and select open with...choose the notepad which is built in for all standard Microsoft operating systems. Once the text has been added, replace the XX with the next number of your previous [fltsim.xx] sections.
