Background on the US Navy Variant

The Northrop F-5 Tiger II is a lightweight, supersonic fighter jet widely recognized for its reliability and maneuverability. Within the US Navy, the VFC-13 Saints manage a fleet of F-5E, F-5F, and F-5N aircraft painted in various adversary patterns—often showcasing desert, blue, or camouflage-themed liveries. This particular scheme highlights the iconic “tiger” look, underscoring the aircraft’s role in high-intensity exercises.
