This latest freeware release merges a specialized cargo rendition of the Boeing 787-9 with Lufthansa Cargo markings alongside an array of animated features. It includes a refined wing root section, broader passenger doors, reconfigured windows, and more extensive ground handling animations. Designed and painted by Camil Valiquette, this complete package incorporates a base model and focuses on bringing realist ground support services to virtual cargo operations.
Refined Airframe and Door Adjustments
The newly enhanced wing root structure improves aerodynamic realism by better aligning the fuselage with the mainplane junction. Additionally, this rendition features reworked door contours and window outlines to reflect a modern design. In cargo configuration, the wider passenger doors (used in airline operations for loading personnel or support equipment) showcase revised shapes and more accurate positioning.
Additional Air Duct Mechanics
Obvious visual enhancements in this version also include updated air ducts, modeled to reflect more realistic airflow channelling around the fuselage. These ducts are visible on the exterior model and align with real-world operational requirements for engine cooling and cabin pressurization systems (systems that maintain interior air pressure at cruising altitudes).
Expanded Ground Servicing Animations (AGS)
The integrated Animated Ground Servicing (often abbreviated as AGS) elevates immersion by introducing various service vehicles that interact dynamically with the aircraft. In particular, trailers can now be attached and disconnected, showing a more authentic workflow on cargo ramps. These animations aim to replicate real loading procedures for large freighter aircraft.

Installation Steps for FSX
- Extract all contents into your “Airplane” directory within FSX. Ensure the folder structure remains intact.
- If you have not previously installed any of Camil Valiquette’s AGS aircraft in FSX, also unzip the
Effects.zip
file into the main FSX folder. This step ensures night lighting (and other effects) are placed in the correct “Effects” directory.
Key Animation Commands
Utilize the following assignments for better interaction with doors and ground vehicles:
- Shift+E: Toggle passenger access door with integrated stairs.
- Shift+E+2: Activate or deactivate default simulator ground operations.
- Shift+D: Open or close the cargo access points.
- Shift+C: Commence or stop specialized animations (enabling trailers to latch or unlatch from the aircraft).
To ensure all animations function correctly, assign the following commands in the “Options” controls menu:
- Wing fold/unfold = Shift + C
- Tail hook up/down = Shift + D
Behind the Mod
This freeware cargo adaptation maintains the high standards set by CamSim, reflecting the meticulous work of Camil Valiquette. Lufthansa Cargo’s livery is represented here with attention to detail, aligning with the airline’s emphasis on reliable freight and logisticians’ needs. The model’s aerodynamic tweaks and ground support capabilities enhance realism, particularly for simulator pilots who prefer immersive cargo operations.
By installing this add-on, virtual aviators can experience sophisticated flight deck dynamics, updated visual elements, and an authentic loops of loading and unloading, which altogether enriches the overall flight simulation environment.
