Gamma lineage enters military service with the United States, Spain, and China as tensions rise. In June 1933, Frank Hawks sets a record from Los Angeles to Floyd Bennett Field in New York aboard the Gamma variant nicknamed Sky Chief, completing the flight in 13 h 26 m 15 s, with autopilot added in V1.
