KMCI, current as of November 15, 2003. Airline terminal and gate locations are current as of November 15, 2003 however additional changes may occur during / until the completion of remodeling construction. All terminal gates are numbered and coded based on information from the Kansas City International Airport website. Gates 1 - 4 were added based on the KMCI master plan. By Tom Stratman.
I used radius information provided by ProjectAI's Parking Manager. If you do not modify your AI aircraft .mdl files to the "recommended" or "simplified" radius setting, some/most parking spots will go unused.
This is due to the fact that the default radius information contained in the aircraft .mdl file is usually much larger than the "recommended" or "simplified" radius .mdl settings from ProjectAI.
AI aircraft can only park in spots equal to or greater than the radius specified in the .mdl file.
I tried to make the taxiways and parking spots as accurate as possible. Due to limitations of FS9 and the current version of AFCAD, certain things had to be improvised.
Many thanks to Lee Swordy for AFCAD2. I anxiously await the next version. Hopefully it will have the ability to modify/remove/add terminal buildings, ramps and taxi signs.
- Place the AF2_KMCI.bgl file into \Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery\ folder.
- Start up the simulator and the changes will be present.
- Delete the AF2_KMCI.bgl file in the \Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery\ folder and the default airport will then be active.
