FSX Gloster Meteor T Mk 7.5

Gloster Meteor T Mk 7.5 brings a Belgian-built two-seat jet trainer to FSX with an all-new model, custom panel and sound set, plus eight carefully researched Belgian, UK, and Israeli-style liveries by Peter Watkins. Subtle animations add realism, including ground crew details and pilot oxygen gear changes, with an optional stick hide feature for clearer instrument viewing.

Several were converted in service in the UK and the Belgian SABCA company converted seven for the Belgian Air Force. Four or five of the Belgian aircraft were sold to Israel. The Martin-Baker company have used three aircraft, two of which currently remain in service. The eight paint schemes included were created by Peter Watkins.

Installation is as usual, normally to folder: Program files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/ SimObjects/ Airplanes// or to which ever is your FSX aircraft folder. Put the smoke effect into C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects

Most of the sim controls are as normal. The pilot will disappear and wheel chocks materialize when engine is shut down, after about 30 seconds or so. The pilots oxygen masks are hanging and visors pulled up while on the ground then at 2000 ft or so they will be in place. To make for easy reading of the instruments just click on the red spoiler light at the top of the panel and the control stick will hide/show. To get into the rear VC just scroll through the "A key whilst in VC mode.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    The panel folder is downloaded but does not appear in the aircraft. The panel.cfg is complete. Can anybody solve this?

    for the creators of the model : The plane flies very well. but you who designed the plane need to fix its snout. it is not so fat, it is tapered and not rounded. easy to fix, and make the plane even better
