Gloster Meteor F4 RA444 brings No. 257 (Burma) Squadron’s September 1946 RAF Horsham St. Faith markings to life with a historically grounded repaint that complements the aircraft’s classic postwar jet lines and virtual cockpit. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration, it requires Rob Richardson’s Gloster Meteor F4 base model.

A repaint for Rob Richardson's Gloster Meteor F4 for Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration. RA444 was used by No 257 (Burma) Squadron and was based at RAF Horsham St. Faith in September 1946. Repaint by Peter Watkins.

Installation:

  • Copy the texture file into the 'Gloster Meteor F Mk 4' folder in FSX SimObjects 'Airplanes' folder.
  • Copy and add the following to the aircraft CFG file, replacing the 'xx' with your next number in sequence.

    Very chuffed that you’ve included this Meteor RA444. My dad was ground crew for this very plane at Horsham St Faith. As a skilled painter and signwriter he painted the ‘Chinthe on the nose section. I have official photos from 1949.
