Boeing C-97G / EC-97G / HC-97G Stratofreighters and KC-97G Stratotanker update. Previous installation of basepack "FSX Boeing C-97 V.1 Beta" (FSX_BOEING_C97_V1B.ZIP) required for Ted Wolfgang's sound set. This update adds the EC-97G and HC-97G Freighter models and modifies the (K)C-97G models to be able to use a GPU cart and a fire extinguisher bottle. Various issues have been addressed and some minor corrections are included as options. By Roland Berger (testing), Manfred Jahn (models, textures, monitor gauge), William N. Davidson (testing), Dan McManus (technical research, VC and panel textures, crew calls) Wayne Tudor (Flight Data Envelope), Ted Wolfgang (sound set). Interior model adapted from Greg Pepper's original FS2002 model.

  • Please make sure you already have a working installation of the Team Strat "Boeing_C-97" in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes". If not present, download and install basepack "FSX Boeing C-97 V.1 Beta" first.
  • In folder "Boeing_C-97" make a backup copy of your current aircraft.cfg, calling it aircraft.cfg-bak. If you have made custom changes to the panel.cfg, you might want a panel.cfg-bak copy as well.
  • Extract the zip to a temporary folder or open it in Windows Explorer.
  • Copy the files and folders at the root level of the zip into your FSX "Boeing_C-97" folder. Accept "replace" mode on files and folders when prompted.
  • Carefully merge aircraft.cfg and aircraft-cfg-bak. Generally you only need your fltsim sections from aircraft.cfg-bak, but you may want to keep other custom changes as well. Make sure your fltsim sections are numbered in proper sequence.
  • Note there is an "Optional" folder. This contains some effects and nonessential corrections that were distributed via informal patches earlier. See the special readme file for details.
  • In FSX you may again be prompted to accept some gauge modules as trusted software. These are widely used FS modules.

Any chance of getting a reworking of the boom using a door animation so it works in multiplayer?
