This aircraft is a customization, upgrade and optimization of Arik Hohmeyer's fine L10E from FS-Design Berlin. The intent was to match it as closely as possible to Earhart's L10E Lockheed Electra. Dave Bitzer's research at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and independent work by Alex Nicolson resulted in over two-dozen flight-dynamics changes, including proper-capacity long range tanks. Norman Hancock designed two custom panels for this historic aircraft; a classic version with a Sperry AP and a modern one with a digital AP and more navigation equipment. The Cambridge Engine Analyzer, Sextant, Drift Meter, and pop-up E6-B computer are standard on both panels. Easy one-step install.
Excellent A/C. You gotta use full power with flaps fully extended just to maintain flight. If you are re-creating Amelia & Fred's fateful flight in FS9 or FSX you will have to enter Howland Islands LAT & LON to find it, and you will have to land on the Islands west beach NO RUNWAY, just trees! This L-10 is a lot of fun.

Flys really well exceot that the pitch down on flap selection just cannot be correct, at low level with the autopilot out it just pitches down rapidly until the vsi is pegged and the earth awaits !
