How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

This PC-6C is an excellent plane. I've seen this plane's livery used in the movie Air America about the pilots during the Vietnam war in cargo operations that "didn't officially exist" in Laos.

They used this plane with the same exact livery and the same dirty, beat-up condition. This plane made here for FSX in short flies beautifully. It has the correct flying characteristics of an actual Pilatus PC-6 Porter including steep descents in beta mode (propeller blades twisted flat providing NO thrust or reverse but becoming a big tin can lid acting as a giant air brake).

It has excellent power for short takeoff, and great STOL landing properties with reverse thrust. This turboprop engine responds a little quicker to throttle inputs than more modern turboprops which makes this a very good utility plane that the real one was built for.

I've taken this in and out of very short fields in the mountains and it performs flawlessly. Easy to land.

Just downloaded your PC-6. I am looking for a manual that gives all the various speeds (approach, cruise, etc) and flap setting, etc. Is there one?

    Thanks
