Experience a freeware Boeing 767-300 rendition that brings realistic Corsair (Britannia Lease) colors into your simulator. Developed by the iFDG team and expertly repainted by Ben Jones, this complete package incorporates a broad set of animations along with a fleet of advanced elements suited for pilot immersion.
Distinctive Exterior Components
From full control surface movements to rolling wheels, the iFDG model covers operational essentials favored by virtual aviators. In addition, expect thrust reversers, a dynamic shine effect, and eye-catching reflective textures. Flexing wings add an authentic feel, while detailed wing views enhance your situational awareness in flight.
Notable Structural And Performance Attributes
This variant replicates the well-known Boeing 767 family, which typically fits between the single-aisle 757 and twin-aisle 777. In this simulation, the gear compresses with touchdown, and the lighting setup emulates FS2002-style illumination for an authentic glow. A 3D cabin attendant further enriches the cabin environment.
Within the real-world fleet, the 767-300 offers a blend of operational efficiency and passenger comfort. It shares significant design features with its freighter counterpart, which is traced back to the 767-300ER fuselage. Both passenger and freighter versions benefit from aerodynamic enhancements, composite materials, and modern propulsion systems.
Quick Insights On The 767 Family
The 767 range includes passenger-focused configurations (767-200ER, 767-300ER, and 767-400ER), alongside dedicated cargo variants. Operators often praise these jets for their versatility, quiet engines, and reliable airframe. The comfortable twin-aisle setup also caters to long-haul routes without sacrificing cost-effectiveness.
Installation Process
- Manual Setup
- Extract all contents to your FS2002/aircraft directory. Once complete, the aircraft entry should appear automatically within your simulator.
- Automatic Installer
- For official repaints, run the included setup program to handle file placement and complete the process quickly.
Livery Modification Guidelines
- Notify the iFDG team if you create a new repaint and plan to distribute it.
- Original documentation (including this ReadMe) must stay intact.
- Avoid commercializing repaints—these are for non-profit endeavors.
- Verify attribution and permissions if you adapt anyone else’s existing texture work.
- Virtual Airlines may include their own brand, provided they share the airline’s site information in the iFDG forum.
Acknowledgments To Contributors
iFDG wishes to extend gratitude to the following individuals for various forms of Gmax or FDE assistance: Robert Versluys, Erez Werber, Udo Lemmob, and Iskander Hannivoort. Their support and input contributed greatly to the accuracy of this package.
