This custom repaint offers highly detailed markings of a Panavia Tornado GR4 depicting 9 Squadron at RAF Marham. It is designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and features photoreal finishes that aim to capture authentic Royal Air Force operational details. Developed by UKMIL, this repaint pack showcases intricate visual elements while maintaining the original Tornado model’s flight characteristics. Below, you will find more technical insights along with guidance on how to install and configure the textures. The base model is not included and must be obtained separately from the freeware packages in the Fly Away Simulation library.
Refined Tornado GR4 Appearance for 9 Squadron
This repaint highlights a ground-attack reconnaissance Tornado GR4 that typically operates in complex missions requiring precision strike and low-level navigation. The actual aircraft is known for its variable-sweep wings (meaning the wing geometry can be pivoted for optimal aerodynamic performance), and 9 Squadron has historically been tasked with both conventional and specialized missions, making the Tornado GR4 an iconic fixture of the RAF inventory.

Photoreal Enhancements by UKMIL
In this pack, UKMIL includes meticulously crafted textures that replicate the operational markings and insignia seen on the real aircraft. The photoreal surfaces reflect standard Royal Air Force camouflage schemes, including accurate squadron badges and stenciling. These details enhance the simulation by offering an immersive, up-close look at the aircraft’s external appearance whenever you inspect it from various external camera angles in the simulator.
