FSX 'GenReloaded' Autogen Buildings

All buildings for FSX have been edited for better clarity, brightness and color. All roofs have been redone. Textures from FS2004 Genreloaded textures have been added for North America and Europe. Compared to actual photos while editing. The result is a more photographic looking appearance of all regions from low VFR or higher up. Backup files included. By Adnan Arif.

I was involved in graphic designing for FS2004`s Birds Eye View project Volume 1 to 4. I designed new buildings, trees, eventually went on to make Photorealistic roads and railroads. (Under the title GenReloaded). FS2004 Aquarama, a new set of FS9 water textures was the last of my freeware for FS9.

After that I was lucky enough to be a beta-tester for FSX. Though it is truly an exciting version of Flight Sim, there can always be enhancements to every version of FS.

This project is the second in a number of projects to continue to enhance the world of FSX. I greatly enjoy trying to bring maximum realism as possible (within my limits) and hope other simmers will appreciate and enjoy my enhancements!

Changes for 'Generation-X Volume 2: Photoreal Buildings':

• All Roofs for all regions of the world have been modified. The default FSX buildings and roofs are overall very dull and dark looking. I tried to compare them to actual aerial photos and brightened all roofs. Since the roofs are what you see the most from the air, I have taken the most care to try to make them as realistic as possible and as accurate from region to region.
• More red roofs (stucco/red brick roofs) have been introduced overall for the medium sized flat buildings as this is very prominent in a lot of regions of the world. I wish I could make more regional changes but unfortunately these roof textures are the same used everywhere (For example in Europe (Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Mediterranean regions etc, bigger buildings have most red stucco roofs, where as in the Middle-East/Southeast Asia they are mainly white and brown). Still I have tried my best to make the roofs as balanced as possible for most regions.
• I have incorporated my Genreloaded Autogen textures for FS2004 into this project (Mainly for North America and Europe). you will see differences in houses and buildings from the North to the South and Southwest (in the US). the European textures also are from the Genreloaded textures.
• All other buildings in all regions of the world have had their textures enhanced in terms of brightness/ color palette and sharpness. this helps them blend in better and more realistically with the surroundings.

Installation:

• Select all the files in the 'TEXTURE' Folder and copy them to FSX/Texture.
• If you wish to revert to the original FSX textures, select all files in the ORIGINALS Folder and copy to FSX/Texture.
