This is an update of the plug-in for the AirTrack iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch app. In order to install it run the executable that will deploy a gauge in the proper folder and automatically activate it. AirTrack is an app that allows tracking of flights on your iPhone or iPad in real time using a local wireless network with built-in parameter reporting, an EFIS MFD, an FMC and Airport information. You can also command the plane from the application. The current update fixes some bugs, improves the communication between the plug-in and the application and allows the flight plan created at the Flight Simulators to be displayed in the AirTrack. It also adds support for speeds limits, flight director bars in the PDF and VAS selector. By Jofre Palau.

What's New?:

  • V1.4:
  • Support for speeds limits and flight director bars in the PDF.
  • Added VAS selector.
  • Solved bug related to switching planes.
  • V1.3:
  • Support for sending traffic to a fixed IP.
  • Minor bugs fixed.
  • V1.2:
  • Flight plan sent by the Fligh Simulator is read and displaid by AirTrack.
  • V1.1:
  • Improved network efficiency.
  • Minor bugs fixed.
  • V1.0:
  • First public release of the FS9 plug-in for AirTrack.
  • All Flight Simulator variables are sent to the mobile application.
  • You can turn the Remote Control on in your mobile application and control the plane.

Known limitations:

The Flight Plan modified by AirTrack is not uploaded to the Fligh Simulator. Some add-ons use its own specific variables to manage radios and this can't be used by AirTrack. If you have issues with the radios try using a default plane.

Installation:

  • Execute the installer and that will update any existing installations.
  • The Installation would modify the default gauges file at .../FSX_DIR/Gauges/MiniPanel.cfg making a backup file called MiniPanel.bak.
  • If you remove the plug-in with the un-installer that file would be restored.

Advanced Installation:

  • Once installed you can always remove the plug-in from all planes.
  • Remove the lines below from the file MiniPanel.cfg and copy them on planes you would like to control from your iPhone or iPad.

Window04=AirTrack
...
[Window04]
size_mm=10, 10
window_pos=0.00, 0.00
background_color=0,0,0
ident=10099
visible=1
update_rate=10
gauge00=airtrackFSX!AirTrack, 0, 0

If you use FSX SP2 you'll need to remove also the lines below from missionpanels.cfg:

Window10=AirTrack
...
[Window10]
size_mm=10, 10
window_pos=0.01, 0.01
background_color=0,0,0
ident=10099

gauge00=airtrackFSX!AirTrack, 0, 0
