FS2004 AFCAD2 FileFor EHRD

Rotterdam The Hague Airport (EHRD) gets a smarter default layout with an AFCAD2 facility update for FS2004, improving AI traffic flow and parking realism. It adds 12 accurately numbered passenger gates tuned for common AI fleets, expands GA parking with 19 spots, introduces two nearby cargo ramps, and refines taxiway use and gate sizing for larger 737s.

EHRD, Rotterdam Airport, The Netherlands. By Vincent Buller.

This is an AFCAD2 compatible facility file for the default Rotterdam Airport (EHRD) in FS2004. This file is freeware - feel free to redistribute, but ONLY in the original ZIP file format including this readme.txt and screenshot.

Features V2:

  • 12 passenger aircraft gates in all sizes at the correct location and numbering (as far as the default scenery permits). Sizes and positioning fine-tuned to Project AI aircraft.
  • An additional 19 parking spots for GA aircraft.
  • 2 cargo ramp sites were also added nearest to the Hotel Belair fence.

Changes V2.1

  • Increased sizes of some gates to allow for larger 737s (transavia!) to park there.
  • Changed parking order to closer-to-real-life (park near terminal first, then fill spots further away).
  • Closed taxiway INT1 for AI traffic (if they ever used it before...)

Installation:

Place the VB_AF2_EHRD.bgl file in the "[FS2004]\Addon Scenery\Scenery" directory and (re)start FS2004.

Have fun!

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
