This complete freeware package offers a detailed Air Canada Boeing 777-200LR for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Created by the SkySpirit2012 team and painted by Brian Chau, this long-haul airliner incorporates an authentic Air Canada livery along with advanced animations and surface detailing. The Boeing 777-200LR variant, known for its extended range and efficient twin-engine layout, is frequently used by Air Canada to link destinations around the globe—making this package well-suited for sim pilots who enjoy intercontinental flight planning.

High-Fidelity Exterior and Enhanced Realism

Engineers at SkySpirit2012 designed this model to exhibit dynamic flexing wings that respond to real-time turbulence, adding a new layer of immersion. The body gear steering functions below 15 kt (above 1 kt), while the nose gear steering remains active under 60 kt (above 1 kt). Additionally, the rudder lock system engages in lower-speed situations (under 60 kt, above 1 kt), enhancing handling during taxi and takeoff. The aircraft also features:

  • Fully animated primary control surfaces and fully independent suspension.
  • Speed-dependent aileron locking for improved flight stability.
  • Opening passenger doors and cargo doors with ground service animations.
  • Animated tilting bogies and realistic gear retraction sequence.
  • Accurate thrust reversers and ground spoiler behavior.
  • Detailed 32-bit exterior textures sharpened with dynamic shine.
  • Refined night lighting that emphasizes the fuselage and tail illumination.
  • Crash effect integration for a more authentic flight simulation environment.

(For additional texture packages, see “SSP_B77LX_ACA_C-FIUA_U1.ZIP” as referenced by the developer.)

Implementing the Aircraft into Your Simulator

To integrate this add-on into your setup, follow the steps below. Be sure to move all necessary elements into their correct directories to ensure the aircraft and its associated effects function correctly:

  1. Extract the aircraft folder into your “SimObjects/Airplanes” directory.
  2. Place any included items from the “Effects” folder into “Effects.”
  3. Copy the contents from the “Gauges” folder into “Gauges.”

After performing these actions, the aircraft should be ready for use in your virtual hangar. Feel free to explore its extensive range and capabilities on your next long-haul journey, and enjoy the craftsmanship offered by SkySpirit2012 and the expert textures painted by Brian Chau.
