FSX Lockheed YP-80A Shooting Star, Italy, 1945

Textures for the two YP-80As that were sent to Italy in the closing days of WW2 for operational testing in Project Extraversion. More documentation on the project in the included reference folder. Full texture set in 2048x2048 dds format. Tested in FSX Steam Edition. For the now freeware Alphasim F-80 available here. By Willy McCoy.

Installation:

• I'm assuming that most of us have done this before and know you have to have the original AlphaSim F-80 installed in order for this to work.
• First, I have no idea where FSX is located on your system. I have FSX Steam which is:
  Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/FSX
• Inside the main FSX folder is the SimObjects folder, the the Airplanes folder and the F-80 folder should reside in there.
• Place the texture.xxxxxxx into the main F-80 folder.
• Note: All texture files needed are supplied in .dds DXT-5 format. No need to use any of the original bmp DXT 3 or 888 32 bit textures.
• Copy and paste the following section to the aircraft.cfg file, replacing the xx in [fltsim.xx] with the next number in sequence with other repaints already there (i.e [fltsim.0, fltsim.1, etc.)
