Editorial

The Airbus A340 is one of those aircraft that, over the years, I’ve had more than my fair share of dealings with. It’s an impressive piece of kit but it’s also an aircraft that I found quite hard to get to grips with. Perhaps as it was one of my most commonly used FS2004 aircraft in the past or because it was an aircraft that I knew very little about, I don’t know.

However, I downloaded this mod for it to see if I could now finally go back to my old haunt and see how I was able to command it with new experience.

What I did find, more or less on starting the aircraft up, was just how much more refined this mod was. But, is it refined enough to be worth your time?

The Flight Style

First off, yeah this just feels the way that it should. Instead of being the same old stuff that the original models would have come with this feels far more specific and refined. The editor, Ivan Vanherteyck, has done a great job of making sure that this all combines together. As a result, the flight style is more or less in line with the real thing which is a major bonus for me. It helps the whole package come together and feel absolutely spectacular, giving you something that’s easy to manage and even simpler to control moving forward.

I did find that it was a bit more daunting than it would have been without so much in the cockpit etc. but it wasn’t a problem to get used to this side of things.

The Realism

It’s about as realistic as you can hope for with an FS2004 package. The detail and design on the aircraft is very much easy to use and will give you an increasingly enjoyable platform to build on. With its own level of realism and intricacy in the design, this manages to give you all the help that you need in understanding what this aircraft itself is all about. For those who want to see the realism and the depth of the aircraft come to life in the most effective sense possible, this mod is well worth having installed.

It’s very realistic and played on the attributes of the real thing in the most effective manner that it possibly can, giving you something that’s genuinely easy to appreciate.

I downloaded this by mistake, the listing shows compatibility with the FS2004. I have FSX and it downloaded just fine. I made a couple of changes to suit my personal preferences, but all in all, it is one of the best downloads I have made. This is a multi-livery download, 9 aircraft total, I kept 4.

I am very satisfied with this download, and I think anyone else will be also!
