Cessna’s Reliable Four-Seater

This rendition is based on the iconic Cessna 172, a piston-engine platform renowned for training purposes and its reliable performance worldwide. In real-world operations, pilots appreciate its forgiving handling qualities and robust airframe. Translating that steady behavior into the simulator involved meticulous adjustments to ensure stability, so you can enjoy consistent control throughout your virtual flights.

This modification no longer supports FS2004 after conversion, as the internal files and codes have been designed for FSX’s architecture. All elements—from the subtle torque response to the updated beacon—have been coordinated to replicate the Cessna’s typical in-flight feel.

Installation Steps

  1. Extract the package into a temporary directory of your choice.
  2. Locate the complete folder identified for the Cessna 172 conversion.
  3. Move that entire folder into the “SimObjects/Airplanes” directory of your FSX installation.
  4. Launch the simulator, select the newly installed aircraft, and take to the skies.

Being a newbie at this program and a disabled vet I am having a problem getting the free stuff and getting it to work in my MSFS. How can I store the downloaded items to be opened at later date and what is the process?? I can only afford the free stuff. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...email, please. "Microsoft Bell 206" Should read "Microsoft Cessna 172" Also, I need this paragraph explained: "Unpack this Cessna C172 texture Flight Simulator 9 C172 file. This TNT texture is only for Flight Simulator 9 - default C172SP aircraft. You must move aircraft.cfg to FS2004 default Cessna's root." Thanks for the great Add-on!
