This complete freeware release features the Bombardier Challenger 604, a sophisticated business jet designed for medium-range VIP operations. It includes a fully realized aircraft model, dedicated panel, immersive sounds, functional virtual cockpit, and luxurious interior details. It was crafted for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and developed by Premier Aircraft Design. N832SC liveries are provided, courtesy of Shane Griffith.
A Versatile Corporate Airframe with Substantial Range
Originally introduced in the mid-1990s as an evolution of the Challenger 601, this variant offers an advanced fuselage, updated avionics, and strengthened wings. It can accommodate anywhere from five to nineteen passengers, which proves ideal for corporate or executive travelers seeking spacious cabin surroundings. The approximate maximum range exceeds 4,000 nautical miles, lending itself well to both short flights and longer itineraries.
Interior Tailored for Exclusive Comfort
Inside this model, a VIP interior is meticulously rendered to simulate a high-end cabin environment. Plush seating, unique lighting elements, and custom textures enrich the overall ambiance. The design team incorporated passenger seating layouts to accurately reflect a real-world executive transport configuration, offering enough room to maneuver around the cabin during virtual flights.
Key Features and Flight Deck Configuration
The simulator’s panel incorporates essential instrumentation, coupled with a fully interactive virtual cockpit. Within the cockpit, yoke visibility can be toggled using water rudder controls (Ctrl+W), and seat height is adjustable (Ctrl+Enter). Additionally, door animations are accessible through standard commands (Shift+E), with audible exit latched sounds best heard when engines are idling. Elevator trim is recommended, especially after flap adjustments, to maintain stable climb or descent profiles.
Performance Under Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Flight testing has been optimized for FSX Acceleration and SP2 environments. While this package is unsuitable for DX10 preview mode or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, it remains a fully integrated solution for virtual pilots looking to experience a refined multi-engine corporate platform.
Installation Instructions and Configuration Highlights
- Unzip all contents into the main FSX folder, ensuring folder names are preserved.
- Vista users may temporarily disable User Account Control if new subfolders cannot be created.
- After extraction, the aircraft, panel, and associated documentation will be in their correct directories.
- Use the Panel_Docs folder to reference extended documentation, including checklists and flight data.
- To ensure generators activate after using Auto-Start (Ctrl+E), verify overhead panel settings.

great aircraft - quickly became a favorite :) lacks a few detail VC features but overall still fun.
Gorgeous cockpit even though it is from an airbus. But the interior looks great and you can see into the detailed cabin area.
