Editorial
Having grown tired of my old Boeing 777-300er that had simply became a problem for me due to a lack of invention about it, I was happy to see this mod for FS2004 and FS2002 that introduced the 777 in a fresh new design. It was put together by Melvin Rafi who is behind the famous Meljet mod so I was knew that I was going to be getting something artistically impressive and worth my time messing around with.
The first thing I noticed was the rather charming color scheme it uses. With a fictional PS2 Party Plane design, you get something that is definitely out of this world – if you ever seen an aircraft like this you would think it was crazy!
I was a huge fan though. It looks fresh and authentic and carries a genuine look that really captures the original model and makes it look even better. The new color scheme is a bit out there for sure, with depth to the colors and a fine blend to make it all look really easy on the eye despite the radical nature of it. The virtual cabin has also been included with plenty of work being carried out to make it as homely as possible.
With major features such as reclining seats, the ability to serve your passengers a lovely chicken mean and lots of other little minor features to make it feel more like home, this is about as realistic as you are likely to get for this kind of mod. The Melvin Rafi model is one worth seeing but when you add this crazy design on top it soon becomes really easy to have fun with it.
It looks excellent and produces something that is very close to what you imagine this color scheme would look like. I was quite transfixed with it at first but I was a huge fan of the way that it looks and after a few hours of getting psyched by the color scheme I started to really love using it. It’s about as fun as I’m likely to find for a fictional paint scheme that is actually capable of being flown!
If you are looking for a paint scheme for the Meljet then this is more than worth your time – it’s a fun, interesting package that is definitely going to capture the way that it looks and its overall look and appeal.
