Icarus announces the release of their new Luftwaffe bomber, the Junkers EF125 CFS2/FS2002 version, with two skins, multiresolution virtual cockpit with working gauges, cockpit animations, Icarus weapons bombs, Luftwaffe pilot textures.

  • Moving rudder pedals.
  • Multiple animation sequence yoke
  • Open canopy animation
  • Exhaust effect

The Junkers EF125 is based on a World War III bomber that was very important to the outcome of the war. This bomber, the Junkers Ju287, was given a designator of "EF125" by the Russians. This airplane was crucial to the German Luftwaffe, and it flew many high piority missions for them. It was produced by a noted manufacturer of German aircraft at the time, the notorious Allgemeine Transportanlagen GmbH.

As far as missions during the actual war itself go, the plane appeared late during the war, in around 1942. While it was important to the German endgame during the war, it was not used by them for most of the early years of the war. Most notably, this plane flew over Leipzig and Podberesje. Other Junkers aircraft of the same vein were the EF122 and EF66, which both were crucial during the war as well.

The Junkers line of aircraft would continue to be world famous, and would be built even after the war. The Junkers EF125 is a great model aircraft because of its long history in World War II and its easy recognizability by anyone who has seriously studied the German fleet during the war.

The Icarus version up for sale above is only slightly changed from the original Junkers aircraft. This aircraft contains all of the features that you would expect, but also a few that you may not, like animated retractable gear and a movable canopy. Further, this model is easy to download and use by anyone, even novice users. This is because it already includes a cockpit with working gauges, multiple textures and is available at multiple resolutions so it looks different depending on the level of rendering specified by the graphics designer.

If you are crunched for time and need an iconic World War II German airplane for your 3D movie or graphic, this is the one to buy.
