After downloading the package you’ll be able to fly the Boeing 7E7-800 Dreamliner within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The Dreamliner took its first flight in 2009 and entered service in 2011. This mid-size plane is powered by two jet engines and is designed for long-range routes. With this new aircraft Boeing targets to improve fuel efficiency so they can compete with other aircraft manufacturers. The usage of composite materials during production together with a new electrical setup makes the main difference and results in a 20% fuel consumption decrease. Current operators include All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Air India but United Airlines also plans to use the Dreamliner since they have already ordered more than 30 planes from Boeing.
