We start with you all ready to go at Runway 24L at LAX. Your copilot will do the radios so all you have to do is fly the thing!! As a real airline pilot you should really print out the checklist and reference and do things by the numbers though if you can!! Many many thanks!

Editorial

Sometimes, it can be fun to head back in time a little and see something new and exciting – well, how about 1994? It might not be the most standout year of all time but it’s one that certainly sticks out to fans of the America West brand. It was at this point that they had the brilliant aircraft packages they once did.

Now that we’re back in time, though, you need to understand that this package is giving you access to a unique mission challenge that can be a bit of a nightmare to get through! However, a challenge is never a bad thing in FSX.

In this set you will be expected to take on the role of America West flight captain Eugene Smith. As Eugene, you are expected to undertake a rather significant challenge. Instead of hitting the clubs with the rest of the team, you’ve taken the weekend shift and are now in charge of your aircraft as you need to fly from A to B, putting out of sight and out of mind the fact that you are here for the whole weekend! If you like a grueling challenge, this is a good place to start with.

You’ll start off at Runway 24L at the LAX Airport, so that you know where you are taking off from. All you have to do is get in the cockpit and take off accordingly – your helpful co-pilot will regularly message in to see how you are getting on and to provide you with some valuable advice as you move forward. As a pilot, you are now expected to take out the checklists and references for your aircraft to make sure you are flying this by the book.

Whatever you choose to do, though, you’ll find that this remake of the old Weekender Mission which was so popular can be a lot of fun. I wasted many hours doing this mission and failing, but when I finally did complete it I felt amazing! If you need a new mission to challenge you or to give you something new and exciting to feel from your FSX experience, you should start with this.

It’s brutally easy to use and will do you wonders for helping you stay on the right track, helping you understand what position you are in. The whole thing in general, though, is a huge amount of fun to be involved with! I’d recommend it massively, despite the challenging nature that it provides.

I downloaded the plane and the mission fine, but when I click on the plane on the menu and when I click "fly now" on the mission, Microsoft Flight Simulator X restarts.... Can you please help?
