Editorial
Most of the mods that I tend to use when using flight simulation programs like FSX tend to be for aircraft. Some, though, will be for scenery. What I don’t use very often, though, are the “misc” add-ons out there that add other features and programs that you might expect to not see for something like a simulator.
Initial Thoughts
However, when I came across this mod for the Sirocco GTX I felt like it might be time to take to the seas and see if I could rule there, instead. This mod done a wonderful job of capturing the real detail and style of the boat itself, with everything from a totally operational 3D virtual cockpit to the awesome moving gauges that help you keep on track of everything.
In short, it feels like a comprehensive remake of even the most detailed aircraft designs that you find online.
The Design
It really does do a great job of representing something else within the world of FSX without going too far and making it sound rather crazy.
One thing that I did love about this mod, though, was how easy they made it to adjust. While I’m used to spending my time in this virtual world in the skies, this takes you to the sea and makes it even easier to know what is going on.
Deltasim have done some job in making this work as it’s won, with everything you could need to use a boat properly displayed and included for simple usage.
You can even look around the place with all of the nice extras that make a boat special included, from new materials and furniture adding that homely feel to the place. Are you looking to actually try and use FSX for something different? Then take to the seas in this classy boat, I heartily recommend it.
