FSX Saab Viggen Panel

Saab Viggen pilots get a sharp photorealistic panel tailored for the Alphasim/Virtavia model, with a cohesive virtual cockpit look and added camera presets including a wingman view set. Built for FSX and compatible with FS2004 Viggen installs, it requires Virtavia F-4 Phantom gauges for the replaced instruments.

Photorealistic Saab Viggen panel, especially for the Alphasim version with VC or for any other FS2004 and FSX Saab Viggen. Included are six external and one internal FSX camera definitions with wingman feature. Bitmaps and configuration by Erwin Welker.

  • The half of the original Alphasim gauges is not FSX-compatible. Therefore I have replaced that gauges with Virtavia F-4 Phantom gauges. Due to the copyrights I did not include that gauges. Please download the Phantom (VirtaviaF-4Pack1up9.zip) at Flightsim.com or Simviation.com to get those gauges.
  • The green radar at the right side of the HUD (TFR_Radar!TFR) is not FSX-compatible. But even without it looks pretty good. FS2004 user should keep it as it is or they have to replace that gauge with any kind of round radar-gauge.
  • The General HUD (genhud!HUD at window 00 and 05) has not been tested in FS2004

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D panel / gauge

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place panel files

    Panel files go inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{aircraft}\panel\. Back up the existing panel folder first.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
