Contact Energy’s Rimu Gas Production Facility and the NZVM airstrip bring a standout coastal landmark to the Taranaki region of New Zealand’s North Island, with custom buildings, signage, and accurate object placement for low-level VFR navigation in FSX. Optimized for SP2 setups and requires VECTOR LANDCLASS (VLC) for best results.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

(NZVM). Welcome to the Contact Energy Rimu Gas Production Facility and Airstrip, located at Mokoia in the Taranaki region on the West Coast of New Zealand's North Island. This scenery was adapted and rebuilt for FSX from an original FS2004 scenery by Godfrey Tier, and makes for a well known interesting landmark when flying along the Taranaki coastal region. This scenery was made for FSX SP2, without Acceleration, and with VECTOR LANDCLASS (VLC) (Payware) installed.

Flight1 Software, INSTANT SCENERY Object Placer, and AIRPORT FACILITATOR X (AFX), were used in the making of this scenery.

CREDITS:

LAWRIE ROACHE for the Afcad, Flattens, Excludes, and placement of all objects in the scenery.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
