N65141 was delivered to the USAAF in April, 1944. Braniff Airways bought the plane in November, 1945. Trans continental Airlines bought it in 1955 and painted it into the paint scheme shown on the simulation. Great Lakes bought it in 1957. It was labeled the "Lake Ontario" and later sold in March, 1959. Several carriers continued to operate N65141. The plane crashed into a mountain in Afghanistan, December 12, 1963.
