Unzip to a folder of your choice. After backing up your air, aircraft.cfg, and panel.cfg files, replace them with the ones in this update. If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders to the main FS gauges folder. Copy the thumbnail.jpg file from the TWA folder to the aircraft texture folder. If you have that paint, you can copy the L'Air Azur thumbnail from the L'Air Azur folder to the texture folder for it.

I eliminated the need for the GPS and Throttle bitmaps in the panel folder. You can leave them in, and they won't interfere with the new panel.cfg file.

"NOTE:" Don't replace the panel.cfg file unless you are using the panel that comes with the original aircraft.

For those that want to try it with turbine engines, copy the folder "panel.T" from the turbine engines folder to the aircraft folder, and after backing up your air and aircraft.cfg files, replace them with the ones in the turbine engines folder. The reason for the different panel is that the manifold pressure gauges don't go with turbine engines.

"NOTE2:" If you use some other panel with the turbine engine update, you will need to go into the aircraft.cfg file and remove the T from the line: panel=T.

I have added the words turbine engines, to the top of both the air and aircraft.cfg files for the turbine engine update so, if you are in doubt about which ones are which; open the file(s) and see if it says turbine engines. If you mix them and have the turbine aircraft.cfg file with the piston air file; the aircraft won't fly correctly. I haven't tried it, so it may not fly at all.

If you have other paints of this aircraft you will have to copy the paint section(s) from your old aircraft.cfg file to the updated one. I have included a picture of a repaint by Joao Paz that I like.

I flew the piston version from Honolulu to San Francisco at 206 knots indicated at 22,000 ft. and had 44% fuel left after landing. The turbine version at the same height & speed landed in San Francisco with 54% fuel left. I did this in FS9. Since everything else checks out in FSX it should at least be close to the same.

Both versions of the aircraft update are set so the top 'over the ground speed' in level flight at 22,000 ft, is at, or a bit over, 322 knots. This will vary with altitude, fuel left in the tanks, and wind conditions.
