This freeware repaint provides a detailed livery for the Aerosoft Wilga X payware model, representing the German-registered D-ETVS variant of the PZL-104 Wilga 35A. Developed by Dirk Hueschelrath, this second iteration refines specific texturing elements while adding new visual details across the fuselage and control surfaces, making it a polished option for enthusiasts flying Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
Historical Highlights of the PZL-104 Wilga
The PZL-104 Wilga (a Polish term that refers to the oriole bird) is a single-engine utility aircraft originally developed in Poland. It is well known for its short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities, which make it a popular choice for scenic flights, observation missions, and towing gliders. Its robust airframe and notable endurance have been appreciated by many operators worldwide, reflecting its versatile design.
Key Refinements in Version 2
The latest update to this repaint includes enhanced fuselage graphics, more accurate registration markings, and additional subtle texture work to the wings. Attention was paid to rivet detailing in order to capture the Wilga’s rugged character, and the redesigned color transitions more faithfully represent the actual D-ETVS airframe.

Installation Tips
This repaint requires the Aerosoft Wilga X package, which is a payware product and not included here. You will need to purchase that model from a reputable store such as SimShack before proceeding.
- Extract the contents of this repaint package and locate the new texture.DETVS folder.
- Place the extracted folder into your simulator’s
SimObjects/Airplanes/PZL-104 Wilga
directory. - Open the
aircraft.cfg
file in the same aircraft directory. - Copy the following block of text and paste it under the existing [fltsim] entries, incrementing
XX
to the next free number:
[fltsim.XX] title=PZL-104 Wilga D-ETVS sim=PZL-104 model=SPEBI panel= sound= texture=DETVS kb_checklists=PZL104_check kb_reference=PZL104_ref atc_id=D-ETVS atc_heavy=0 atc_id_color= atc_airline= ui_createdby="Aerosoft" atc_flight_number= ui_manufacturer=PZL ui_type=PZL-104 ui_variation=D-ETVS description=PZL-104 Wilga-35A - Repaint by D. Simulation Experience
Once installed, the D-ETVS Wilga skin can be selected from the aircraft menu inside Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Its strong STOL performance profile remains intact, allowing you to explore short, rugged airstrips or practice bush flying. This repaint aims to offer an authentic exterior finish, reflecting the same characteristics and markings you might see on the actual German-registered Wilga 35A.
Credits and Notes
The repaint is authored by Dirk Hueschelrath. It is distributed as freeware. However, it depends on the commercial Aerosoft Wilga X base model, which must be acquired separately. Enjoy flying the vibrant D-ETVS scheme and immersing yourself in the unique operational profile of the Wilga airframe.
