PHNL, Honolulu Airport, Hawaii (HI) for use with Bill Melichar's scenery (HONOV5.ZIP) and Hickam Field by DWSims (DBWHK04.ZIP). By Karl Hannestad.
This AFCAD is not for use with the default scenery.
This AFCAD brings together the work of three other developers. It is intended for use with Bill Melichar's excellent PHNL scenery. Best attempts were made top match the gate information and airline parking locations to real world using terminal information published by the State of Hawaii. The AFCAD can be used with Bill Melichar's scenery alone, but I recommend installing the DBWSims Hickam Field scenery as well. The AFCAD also adds military parking at Hickam Field. The default FS9 approach into PHNL has aircraft flying into the mountainside to the north of the field, not great from a realism standpoint. Jim Vile has just released a fantastic approach fix for PHNL. I strongly recommend installing that software as well. All of the additional software is free and available on AVSIM. This AFCAD was specifically designed to support Jim's approach code.
This file uses the PAI recommended parking size, so for it to work correctly, your aircraft need to be configured correctly. You can do this easily with PAI parking manager. This AFCAD has gate assignments for the Airlines that serve Honolulu. This AFCAD does include parking for military aircraft but they are not detailed at this time.
