FSX Avro Vulcan Updated

Avro Vulcan Updated brings the iconic delta bomber to Microsoft Flight Simulator X with a fully functioning virtual cockpit aligned to the 2D panel, including added gauges and a refined cockpit layout. It also includes smoke effects, rich custom sounds, and subtle fuselage color tweaks; the panel view-adjust gauge works best with FSX Acceleration.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is the only FSX freeware Avro Vulcan with a functioning VC. The package features a new enhanced VC and 2D panel configuration with partly different gauges added. The VC now matches the 2D panel in every respect, including all the gauges the 2D panel displays. Original model for FS2004 by Capt. I. D'Attomo and Capt. G. Quai, smoke configuration by Tom Tiedman, first publication for FSX by Tom Woolstencroft and the great sound by Darren Law. New VC and 2D panel configuration as well as new fuselage color modification by Michael Pook.

One important tip regarding the 2d panel mode; the gauge "nose up and down" (two white arrows in the 2D panel) improves the view out of the cockpit by lowering the panel. However, this gauge seems to work only in FSX Acceleration.

Installation:

  • Copy and paste the Avro Vulcan folder into your FSX/ Simobjects/ aircraft directory.
  • Copy and paste the gauges in the gauges folder into your main FSX gauges directory and the two effects into your main effects directory (no need to overwrite).
  • That's it, enjoy your flight.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Two problems

    In VC mode the vertical speed indicator gauge is missing (shows blank on panel). 2d view (fn + F10) does not work and crashes fsx

    I am using FSX +Accelleration

    Any ideas anyone about solving these issues
