Editorial
As a big fan of using FS2004 when on work trips, I decided to download this iFly Boeing package to try it out and see what I thought; after all, the 747-400 is an aircraft I’ve had the pleasure of spending plenty of time in both within simulators and real life so it was nice to be able to locate a mod package that would represent it properly.
This mod does all that it can to differentiate itself from the army of 747-100 mods out there on the streets these days, so I have to say that I was hugely impressed at how it managed to take a hugely saturated aircraft and add their own, unique, slant to it.
This edition for FS2004 does a great job of picking up all of the things that really matter with an aircraft, and manages to fit it all into the cockpit with ease. Everything that you see can be legitimately used in some capacity and this obviously makes your life so much easier. With a fully simulated FMC, too, you are left with an easy way to control and then utilize the aircraft in any way that you may have wished.
Another big feature that really stood out to me was the addition of the TCAS simulation added in there, too! This creates a wonderful connection with the audio and the visual TA and RA systems which ensure you will be able to use the aircraft easier than ever.
It’s these little moves in the right direction that make such a big difference to the growth and enjoyment of your aircraft in general, making sure you can easily fall in love with this cockpit all over again.
It’s fully simulated in many ways, ensuring that it works excellently and that it comes with a totally simulated Inertial Reference System – this is something that you really do need to have included in the 747-400 in my opinion, so it was nice to see these little touches being included – the iFly team obviously put a huge amount of work into making sure this works the way that it was supposed, warts and all.
The thing that impressed me most, though, was the use of the operational buttons within the virtual cockpit as it gives you greater functionality and control than many 747-400 packages out there ever would, making the flying so much more authentic than it has been in the past.
Add in the fact it comes with 3 models and 7 liveries, and you are left with an aircraft system that feels truly magnificent and also comes with so many extra little features and improvements to help make it fly more comfortable in your hands.
If you are interested in trying out the 747-400 and want to know it’s going to fly like the real thing, try this version out for the most impressive design style possible.

I love this aircraft, but the lnav and the vnav aren't turning on. Any idea how to fix that?
In having some problems while trying to start a flight with this aircraft. I'm running windows 10 64bit with Flight Simulator 2004 and all the aircraft I have, they all load. But this one crashes the game. I used the installer as it says in the "readme" paper. The aircraft shows up in the game. It just crashes when I press the "FLY" button
Love this aircraft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
