Editorial

Having been looking for something effective and easy to improve my MD-11 experience, I found this. I’ve grown tired of the same old designs and dour liveries. It helps to vary it up a little and with this mod, I think I found the perfect way to make everything come to life that little bit more than before.

So, in this re-make of the old MD-11 aircraft, the textures stand out the loudest. Not only do these textures go an extremely long way to offering something closer to what modern users will be used to, it adds more detail than needed. Everything from the shades of color being used to the depth and detail on the UPS badge makes sure that this looks as close to the real thing as it possibly can be.

The model itself is very impressive, too. I have to say that I was pretty shocked at just how well the skin fits with the model. Many times you see skins for base models that don’t quite work as they should. Well, this breaks that tradition and instead makes it very easy for you to get a look that feels fair and attentive to reality.

This aircraft is of course a Premier Aircraft Design product so I should not be surprised. They consistently produce excellent content, and this model follows that proud line of output. Whilst the textures could perhaps be a little sharper for a freeware product this is absolutely brilliant work.

The skinner, Taylor MacMillan, has gone a really long way to make sure this comes together and looks the part. Not only is the development of the aircraft and the model impressive, the skins stay impressive also.

It’s this extra attention to the little things that helps make this one of my favorite MD-11 models at present. It’s got style, charm and charisma in abundance and shows no signs of slowing down. If you want to make your own experience in the skies more fun in an MD aircraft, then I heartily recommend that you give this excellent model a try later.

nice cargo plane although the cockpit panel leaves something to be desired as it is pretty outdated. Also when flying at night and you turn on the logo light it changes the tail from ups to fedex ground :s

handles really well the virtual cockpit is pretty good i guess and looks really realistic from the outside and overall fun to fly the only downside is the auto pilot is kinda messed up :)
