FSX Malmo Aviation CSeries CS100

This freeware release provides a detailed recreation of the Bombardier CSeries CS100 in the livery of Malmo Aviation, originally developed by Camil Valiquette of CamSim. It offers an enhanced model with new ground servicing animations, along with custom textures that showcase the airline’s distinctive branding.

Overview of the Aircraft

The Bombardier CSeries CS100 (also known by its later designation as part of the A220 family) is a modern, twin-engine jet designed with efficient aerodynamics. Malmo Aviation, a regional carrier based in Sweden, previously utilized various short-haul aircraft and had interest in adopting the CSeries due to its favorable operating performance and compact size for Scandinavian routes.

Key Technical Features

• Updated Visual Model: This Version 2 package refines the aircraft’s exterior with accurate proportions and improved texturing.
• Animated Ground Servicing (AGS): A fully interactive system triggers ground service vehicles, presented through triggered animations that elevate immersion on the virtual ramp.
• Custom Night Effects: The included effects folder adds more realistic lighting when flying in reduced visibility or darkness.
• Detailed Livery: The paint job by Camil Valiquette reflects the airline’s historic styling and color scheme.

Installation Instructions

1. Extract all items into your Flight Simulator X “Airplane” folder.
2. If you do not already have CamSim’s AGS effects installed, locate and unzip “Effects.zip” into the main FSX directory (these files should end up in the “Effects” folder).

Using Animated Ground Servicing

This package integrates a set of cockpit commands for ground operations. To benefit fully from AGS, configure the following within FSX through the “Buttons/Keys” menu located under “Options > Settings > Controls > Change Assignment...”

• Press Shift+E to manage passenger entry doors.
• Press Shift+D to activate cargo door transitions.
• Press Shift+C to initiate or conclude the ground service animations (the “Wing fold/unfold” function).
