PACKAGE INSTALLATION:

Extract ALL the files into the FSX MAIN Folder using WINZIP in Classic Mode. Do not use the Wizard.
Make sure the "Use Folder names" BOX is checked in WINZIP. New folders will be created and all files installed.

Here's how by the numbers...

1. Navigate to where you downloaded the zip file

2. Double click with your mouse on the zip file.

3. WINZIP should open and show all the files inside the zip.

4. Press 'CTRL A' and this will select ALL the files.

5. Click on upper 'Extract' Button in the Main Tool Bar above.

6. Type in your path in the dialog box the default location is C:program filesmicrosoft gamesmicrosoft flight simulator X or browse to your FSX Location...open the FSX main folder.

7. Now click on the 'Extract' button in the upper right.....you're done...go flying.

OPERATING TIPS

1. Turn on Tool Tips....Lots of panel information available. (Go to Options - Settings - General....Click the "Show Tool Tips" box.)

2. SHIFT E opens/closes the passenger door and airstair, there is no separate crew door. The door will not open in flight.

3. To Raise your seat higher press SHIFT-ENTER (in FSX this only works in VC view).

4. " I " key toggles engine smoke ON/OFF.

5. Read the "Flying Tips" document in the 'Manuals' folder.

6. Don't ask how to make the yoke appear in the VC, there are no yokes, the Falcon 7X has "fighter style" side controllers.

Editorial

The Dassault Falcon 7X was an aircraft that I had literally no knowledge of until quite recently – again, with so many to pick from out there someone always finds a way to slip through the net. When I first started reading into the aircraft itself though I was quite excited – it certainly sounded the part.

Preview screenshot

Another nice change that this aircraft brought to the table, however, was the introduction of a new style of business jet that I was not particularly accustomed to. Whilst a mere 12 people on-board may not sound like much, it’s a jet that is pretty famous for its high speeds (apparently!) and with Mach 0.81 capabilities and 6000nm capability, this is a truly inter-continental piece of work.

I decided to fire it up and see if Dassault was something I had missed out on – so what did I think?

Performance & Power

Immediately, I was impressed with how an aircraft like this handles itself. Not only is it very easy to get to grips with thanks to the addition of the new custom panels and virtual cockpit, but it’s very comfortable to even make mistakes with, if that makes sense!

I’m a huge fan of its robust style and the charming nature of the interior, having been designed to give you a fully modelled passenger cabin with eight seat, luxury interior additions that look brilliant. The entire design of the aircraft is one thing, but it really does help to boost the overall level of performance you can enjoy. Why? Because everything is so clear as to where it is that you should have no problems in understanding it!

This comes with all the help and information that you could possibly need if you want to understand and fully appreciate what makes mods like the Dassault Falcon 7X work keeping around. It’s an aircraft that I really immediately could see the high-end power about, and was more than happy to keep flying around in it for some time – it just felt “right” to me.

The Look

As always the looks is a big thing for any mod, and by god does this look classy!

It comes with a hugely detailed exterior model which is only matched by the interior. With a fully modelled passenger cabin with eight seats all properly designed and included, this also does a pretty marvelous job of selling the classy look and high-class design of the whole system.

If there is one aircraft that I would be quite happy to show people in the future, it would be this. I reminds me something from a future movie back in the day, with that really sleek design matched by the fact it clearly has immense power. The look is something that helps to sell the overall image and with this, you do get more than just the look.

This is a comprehensive take on an aircraft that I am now a massive fan of – would happily recommend this to anyone looking for something a little bit more engaging.

Is there a version of the Falcon 7X compatible with FS2020?

emgarcia69Thu, 17 Jan 2019 01:16:19 GMT

for freeware is not bad, however the VC is not that good. if someone can update this aircraft it would be great! Especially the VC and also fix the vc to be used at night. no night flying with the current vc, (not lit) Thank you.

The latest download (upgrade) is full of issues like the loaded flight plans is a problem to load if you have many- the highlighted cursor dissapears while searching for applicable flight plan. Does not follow glidescope when you activate approach. Many other issues. Using the FSX version as advised although I have FSX Steam. Could this be an issue? Money not well spent.

I'm having an issue with the plane; The GPS will not turn on, though it will act like it is on. Any solutions?
