FSX Fix For MZBZ Goldson Airport Scenery

Philip S. Goldson International Airport (MZBZ) in Belize gets a focused scenery fix that clears autogen trees from the runway and taxiway areas for cleaner approaches and ground operations. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the included BGL updates refine airport landclass exclusions so the airfield footprint stays unobstructed.

Fix For MZBZ Goldson Airport. A quick and dirty fix to remove autogen trees from Philip S. Goldson International Airport, Belize, runway and taxiways. By Alf B. Meier.

Many of us have noticed with the purchase of FSX that problems we have deemed in the past are back, such as a runway full of trees or island's runways surrounded by water.

Goldson Airport in Belize City is one of them so I did a quick and dirty fix for those wanting to fly there.

Installation:

Unzip the BGL files into the Addon Scenery folder.

Uninstalling:

Remove the files from the Addon Scenery folder.

Aknowledgements:

These Files were generated with the aid of SBuilderX and and Airport Design Editor, both good tools, and If I may suggest, the properties of both should be merged into one. That would finally be the all-round-tool for scenery design.

Freeware. Feel free to use these files in your own distributions as long as proper credit is given and limitations imposed respected, same goes for products of reverse engineering.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
