Editorial
It’s always nice to add a new range of aircraft into your simulator, I find, and with this mod you can finally have a good reason to blow those cobwebs off of your copy of FS2004 and fire it up once again! Although it might not have the depth and the overall class of FSX, FS2004 is still an awesome simulator that done an amazing job at the time.
With mods like this being added in, though, that job does not have to be over – far from it in fact, thanks to the detail that is provided within this package.
It helps you to get access to the awesome British Aerospace 146 aircraft in four awesome texture sets. These sets all perfectly represent their companies and look excellent with high definition textures being used to try and capture that look perfectly.
When put together in the right fashion and managed in the right way, you’ll find that the likes of the 146 no longer quite seem the carthorses they used to. This model does a great job of shining this aircraft in a proper light, giving it the power and the strength in carrying that it was always known as.
It also comes with a rather unique livery addition, though, that makes the overall graphical output stand out as much as the actual input and dynamics of the vehicle. You’ll be provided by some really cool BBN textures that were designed by Mike Caston.
BBN is a unique, fictional airline that was a huge part of the FS2004 community. This means that you can fly for the official companies like UPS and FedEx, or you can enjoy flying around in two variations of the BBN colors. Whatever you choose to go with, though, you’ll soon find that the whole thing looks absolutely fantastic.
The detail, though, is not the only impressive part; the functions within the cockpit are equally impressive. With the addition of some awesome panels that were designed by Matthias Liberecht, this package gives you all that you need to get into the spirit of things whether you are flying for UPS, FedEx or BBN Airways!
The best thing about this is the fact that it provides that level of choice for you – it’s not just basic, dull liveries that grow stale fast. They are detailed and extremely interesting looking, doing everything needed to capture the full image and put it all together in the right style.
All you need to do is go through the easy installation and fire it up – this works a treat and can be more or less started up without any hassles. You should find the controls easy to pick up too as the panels are very detailed, making it nice and easy for you to handle the aircraft and to get to grips with the way that it tends to operate when flying.
In general, this package does everything that it can to capture the real style and class of the real thing and I’d highly recommend that you check it out!
