CGAS Elizabeth City (KECG) in North Carolina gets a realistic rebuild for FSX with reworked aprons, roads, and taxiways aligned to modern diagrams, plus extensive replacement and extra buildings. The scenery adds parking areas, static vehicles and aircraft, lightpoles, a water tower, and optional wharfs with seaplane docks, using only stock objects.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

CGAS Elizabeth City (KECG), North Carolina (NC). An improved version with adjusted aprons roads and taxiways. Also nearly every default building has been replaced and new buildings added. Also adds parking lots, static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

CGAS Elizabeth City Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock CGAS Elizabeth City. I adjusted and added aprons, roads and taxiways to more closely match real life. Aprons were moved to align with Ultimate Terrain coastlines. I replaced nearly every default building and added additional buildings. I added parking lots and static vehicles, aircraft, lightpoles, water tower, and other filler objects.

The third file, KECG_docks_JC.bgl adds two wharfs with seaplane docks attached and also some buoys. These are placed for Ultimate Terrain but should work ok with default terrain. If not, just remove the file.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the three files KECG_AFX_JC.bgl, KECG_JC.bgl, and KECG_docks_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
