Cobb County–McCollum Field (KRYY) scenery refreshes the Atlanta-area airport in FSX with a 6,305-foot concrete runway, corrected thresholds and centerline alignment, and an updated control tower placement. Reworked north and south ramp layouts add realistic parking and dual fuel points to match current field renovations.

Cobb County - McCollum Field (KRYY), Atlanta, Georgia (GA) v1.0. This is an update to the stock Cobb County airport found in FSX. The airport has undergone extensive renovations and additions since FSX was released. By Bart Youngblood.

This is an update to the stock Cobb County airport found in FSX. The airport has undergone extensive renovations and additions since FSX was released, I have attempted to include all of them here. This is my home airport, I fly out of Superior Flight School on the south ramp.

The runway has been lengthened to 6305' x 100' and is now concrete instead of asphalt. The displaced threshold on the 27 end was absorbed to provide part of the extra length.

The north ramp area has been reconfigured and is currently undergoing some changes for new hangars. I have added numerous parking spaces to both the north and south ramps and there is a fueling point on both ramps, just like the real airport.

Compared to the stock airport, I have relocated and put in a tower more appropriate to the real airport.

All of the frequencies and instrument approaches remain unchanged. Some of the RNAV approaches may be slightly off because the runway centerline was relocated when the runway was widened from 75 to 100 feet. I relocated the localizer to align with the middle of the runway.

I am working to fix the rotating beacon so that it is operational again. *Hopefully* the new version of ADE will support this and I can just refresh the BGL and fix this rather easily.

To install:

Copy the files to the \Addon Scenery\scenery folder. That's it!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
