Khatmandu Tribhuvan Airport (VNKT) scenery brings Nepal’s main gateway to life in FSX with layout work built from satellite references, added ambient details like flying birds, and improved approach guidance. A custom ILS is included to support smoother arrivals in the simulator, while keeping the overall field environment immersive and coherent.

This scenery is done with ADE9X based on Google Maps satellite images with addtional scenery like flying birds, etc. ILS was added as well for easier landings; please note that the real world VNKT does not have an ILS. How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    What's the ILS frequency? It doesn't show up.

    It's an excellent add-on, except the flight charts are now useless for course-022. Also, this add-on allows for an ILS on VNKT, which is impossible. Only VOR-DME's and visuals are possible for this airport. Anyway, it's a really good add-on if you'd like to enjoy the graphics.
