FSX Urup Russia Airstrip Scenery

Urup’s abandoned airstrip on Russia’s remote Kuril Island chain brings a believable emergency-diversion and stopover option, complete with weathered runway details, a handy fuel tank, and scattered rusty military equipment for atmosphere. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the scenery suits bush flying, naval patrol routes, and challenging island hops.

Urup Russia Airstrip Scenery. Urup is one of the Kuril Islands, roughly 60 sm long and around 20 sm wide, uninhabited. There is an abandoned airstrip in the north of the island, which can be used for emergency landings or quick stop-overs. How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
