FSX Monte Real Air Base Scenery

Monte Real Air Base brings Portugal’s F-16 MLU home to life with accurately scaled runway and aprons, dense pine-tree surroundings, and enhanced structures including a detailed control tower and fighter weather shelters. Built with ADE9X and Google Earth references, it integrates smoothly into Microsoft Flight Simulator X using compatible default buildings.

Monte Real Air Base, home of the squadrons 201 and 301, with F-16MLU. This scenery was developed in ADE9X with the help of Google Earth. The runway and aprons have the right size, were added default FSX buildings and pine trees (many), and from Mario Cera the control tower building (beta version) and weather shelters for the fighters. Installation:

1. Extract the zip into your main FSX Addon Scenery folder where you will find Monter Real AB folder.

2. Start up FSX and when the welcome screen, or initial menu comes on, select settings, then click on Scenery Library, and Add Area. Find the Monte Real AB folder and click on it. Click the OK tab at the bottom.

This scenario is freeware, and can not be used for commercial purposes or its files modified without permission of the authors.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
