FSX P-51D 78th FG Duxford 1945

This file contains two textures for aircraft of the 78th FG at Duxford in 1945, Capt. Richard Hewitts 'Big Dick' and Lt. Hubert Davis's 'Twilight Tear'. The latter is famous for being one of the very few 8th AAF aircraft currently in its wartime livery. Currently under restoration in Chino CA. These are repaints of the A2A North American P-51 Mustang for FSX using hi-resolution 2048x2048 .dds texture files. You must have the A2A FSX update installed. By Dave Quincey. This is a repaint of the A2A P-51D for FSX using hi-resolution 2048 x 2048 .dds texture files. It is therefore not suitable for FS9. You must have the A2A FSX update installed.

Copy the 'texture.bigdick' and 'texture.twilight' folders to your SimObjectsAirplanesWWII_FIGHTERS_P51D folder.

These texture sets contain only the five external textures; all other textures can either be added from existing texture folders or you can put them into a 'texture.shared' folder. The 'texture.cfg' file within each texture folder is directed there.

Replace the xx's with the next two available fltsim numbers and save the file.
