Posted on Mon, 08 Oct 2012 23:00:00 GMT

The Dallas/Fort Worth X scenery uses high resolution 30 cm/px imagery which is color-corrected to give it a more "Dallas" look and feel.

Flying over Dallas

Flight Sim Design has created many high quality photoreal scenery for FSX during the past few years. In designing Dallas/Fort Worth X, the company used full FSX capabilities and designed a 1 foot/pixel, which is a high resolution photoreal scenery that has no impact on frame rates. This product is versatile – you can use it whether you want to fly over your home or take a VFR flight on a nice, clear day.

Features for this product are as follows:

  • Color corrected imagery, offering better look and feel, and colored to provide a more "Dallas" feel
  • 30 cm/px (1 foot) high resolution ortho-images
  • Frame rate friendly
  • Images of higher quality
  • Recent Images
  • Added area
  • Free updates

Dallas/Fort Worth is a modern, expansive, and thriving twin city metropolis over 4,000 square miles in size. Although the city continues to grow rapidly, it also retains that home-town feeling of hospitality that Texas is well-known for.

Dallas’ DFW International is the 6th busiest airport in the world. There are 100 other international, general aviation and private airports in the area. This new photo scenery for FSX allows you to explore the busy Dallas/Fort Worth skies, both day and night, with high levels of realism.

Some reviews indicate that users like this scenery add-on. Both simulated and real, Dallas/Fort Worth is a spectacular city to experience from the air, and this add-on enhances that experience. The add-on has an amazing network of roads which is spectacular to see from the skies – it has a highway system with dozens of multi-lane highways and interstates, and you can see cars on the roads. The add-on also features modern neighbourhoods where you can clearly see every rooftop.
