FSX Oradea Airport Scenery

Oradea Airport (LROD) scenery refreshes the Romanian airfield in FSX with a closer-to-real layout built on the stock base, featuring updated buildings, connecting paths, and extra ground details. Expanded airport boundaries, subtle remnants of the former runway, and a small secondary apron for light GA parking round out the upgrade.

Oradea Airport, Romania (LROD). Based on the stock airport, modified to better match the real airport. Added / modified buildings and added paths between them. Added a few extra scenery elements resembling reality. Extended airport extents and added traces of an old, no longer existing runway. Not present in reality, a small second apron was added to hold very small GA parking spots. In FSX the airport unfortunately appears as reaching into the city of Oradea, which actually is not the case in reality, where the city ends further north. By Ana Gana.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
